Pray that you all have had a blessed Shavuot and
that you have Shalom going into this Shabbat.
Parasha Naso is the 2nd Portion in Numbers.
It goes from Numbers 4:21-7:89.
Remember Numbers isn't Numbers,
but rather Bemidbar, which means "In the Wilderness",
and whose root is "Dabar", which means "Words",
the same root as Debarim.
This word "Naso" in English means "to lift up" or "elevate".
But if you look at where this word in your Bible, it is the word "take".
The translators wrote it this way so that we could understand what it said,
but what it does is that it makes us lose the real meaning of it.
Let's look at what this word means in Ancient Hebrew for more detail:
Naso
נשׂא
Meaning:
Continue to grab hold of the Leader
Or more simply...
Keep following YHVH!!
He, through this, is telling us,
"Look, I know it's hard to read ALL these numbers and names,
but keep pressing forward, keep holding my hand,
there is a reason why I am doing this."
And there always is!
The rest of chapter 4 goes though what each Levitical family's burden is in the Tabernacle. Each family had a specific job to do in the Tabernacle, just as we each have a specific job to do in the Spiritual Tabernacle.
That is why it is important to know what each piece
in the Tabernacle is and how it works in our walk today.

Chapter 5 begins with YHVH commanding the
Children of Yisra'el to send out every leper from the camp.
I want to look at the meaning of the word command
and the word leper for a moment.
Tsavah(Command)
צוה
Meaning:
To desire the revealed security
Tsara'(Leper)
צרע
Meaning:
To desire the knowledge of the head
Isn't that interesting. Both words begin with the word Tsade(or Tsadik).
This word Tsade in Hebrew is the letter צ .
It means literally fishhook,
and it can mean to "catch", "desire", or " need."
But let's write the letter out in full.
Tsade
צדּו
Meaning:
To desire the secure pathway
Wow! This word shows a powerful picture
of what we are striving for everyday.
To stay on that secure path and not stray away from it.
Now, back to the Torah Portion.
Both words (Tsavah and Tsara') show the meaning of desiring something. Tsavah, the word for command, means to desire the revealed security,
and Tsara' means to desire the knowledge of the secure head.
Both meaning show a picture of desiring YHVH,
but there is something about these words that show a different picture.
The meaning for command shows someone who knows YHVH,
but desires to be secure about what he sees,
while the meaning for leper shows someone who knows who YHVH is,
but doesn't know what YHVH wants from them...
Wait! Could it be that the leper, spiritually,
is someone who knows who YHVH is,
but doesn't know, or rather, keep His commands?
It would make sense since as a leper was to be out of the camp
so are the people who don't know or keep His commands
are kept out of the Spiritual camp of YHVH.
I don't know, but it makes sense.
As for the meaning of command,
a person that knows YHVH but wants to be secure about what he sees.
The children of Yisra'el saw all that YHVH
did for them in the wilderness and yet still disobeyed Him.
Why? Because they weren't secure that
they wanted YHVH's security instead of their own.
That is why they went back and forth
between obeying Him and disobeying Him.
That is the same thing many of the Jewish people do with Yahshua today.
They see all the things that He did,
and they see how He fulfilled all the prophecies,
but they still aren't sure if they want to be secure to Him.
Why?
Because they can't see Him NOW.
Just as Yisra'el couldn't see YHVH THEN,
many of the Jewish people today don't
believe because they can't SEE him.
They know who Yahshua is, and what He did,
and how He wants them to be with Him forever,
but they just aren't sure they want to be secured to Him.
They desire it, just as the children of Yisra'el did,
but they don't want to be secured to Him because they can't SEE Him.
But we know 1 day Yahshua will return, and in that day
every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that He is YHVH.
That is why we must continue telling both groups
that desire Him that He is a secure pathway to follow,
and that His knowledge and His security is FOREVER,
if we only follow Him and keep His commands.
HalleluYAH!!

Now going to chapter 6.
This chapter is primarily about the Nazarite vow.
This vow was to separate themselves from wine,
strong drink, grapes, or anything that has to do with the grapevine,
as well as not cut his hair, or be touched by any dead body,
till all the days of His vow was completed.
Samson had a Nazarite vow from birth that was to last all his life.
Of course if you read, He disobeyed and was punished for it.
This vow was not to be taken lightly, for if for some reason you couldn't keep the days of your vow,
you would have to give several different offerings,
and then start all over again.
Again, this is a very serious vow, not to be taken lightly.
Now on to one of the most famous passages in Scripture,
the Aaronic Blessing.
This blessing was to have YHVH's name put on us.
There is a deeper meaning to this passage in Ancient Hebrew though.
Here it is:
YHVH will kneel before you presenting gifts and will guard you with a hedge of protection,
YHVH will illuminate the wholeness of His being towards you bringing order and He will beautify you,
YHVH will lift up the wholeness of His being and look upon you and He will set in place all you need to be whole and complete.
Wow! This is an amazing picture.
When YHVH's name was to be put on us,
it was to be put on in every way.
He, even though we don't deserve it, gives His all to us.
What an amazing blessing!

Now on to chapter 7, the last chapter in this week’s Torah Portion..
It starts out by telling us that Moshe had
finished setting up the Dwelling Place.
He anointed and set apart (Kadosh) everything in it.
Then the leaders of Yisra'el (the ones in chapter 1)
and gave an offering of wagons and cattle to YHVH.
YHVH accepted the offering and told Moshe to
give this to the Levites according to their service.
Now, as we go along, we read about YHVH wanting
an offering for the dedication for the altar.
I find it very interesting in this chapter how
each leader gave the same offering.
But I have a feeling that YHVH wanted them to give this specific offering.
And the number totals are very interesting.
Here they are:
The number 12 in Ancient Hebrew
means the hand of the house.
The number 24 means to open the door.
The number 60 means to support or turn.
The number 120 means To cover the least.
The number 2,400 means the family is sealed.
A very interesting picture forms:
The hand of the house opens the door
to support and cover the least.
The house is sealed!
Wow! This offering was a sign to Yisra'el that
YHVH opens the door and gives support to
anyone that needs it, sealing them to the house!
And this is the same picture it gives us today.
HalleluYAH!!
And the last verse...
And when Moshe went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Him,
he heard the voice of One speaking to him
from above the lid of atonement that
was on the ark of the Witness,
from between the two kerubim.
Thus He spoke to him.
That must have been an amazing feeling,
to actually hear YHVH's voice.
I know Moshe listened to YHVH a lot,
but he still must of been in awe every time he heard.
Imagine the day that we hear His voice speaking to us.
Until next week...
Shalom!
