I want to look at the connections of Passover to Messiah. Here we go!
1.They killed a lamb
VS
Yahshua is our lamb who died.
2. They put the blood on the doorposts
VS
Yahshua's blood is on the doorposts of our heart when we believe.
3. YHVH saved the firstborns that had the blood on their doorposts
(Belief that YHVH will save them)
and killed the firstborns that didn't
VS
Yahshua will save the ones that have His blood
(Belief that Yahshua will save them)
on them and send the ones that didn't believe in His blood to eternal death.
4. They ate bread without leaven
VS
Yahshua is our bread without leaven(sin).
5. The unleavened bread(traditionally) is striped and pierced
VS
Yahshua was striped(or flogged: John 19:1) and pierced
(John 19:34,37)(Isa 53:5).
6. They went through the Red Sea to be saved
VS
We go through Yahshua, the narrow way, to be saved.
7. They praised YHVH, the King of Israel
VS
We will praise Yahshua, the King of Israel!!
Yahshua is our passover lamb, our striped and pierced unleavened bread, or narrow way, and OUR KING!!! HalleluYAH!!!
Now, what are some of the things we do to remember the Passover? Well, we eat lamb, bitter herbs, and unleavened bread like it is commanded. Our family also eats Charoset(apples, honey, and cinnamon) to remember the bricks that that they made and horseradish to remember the bitterness of slavery. What kind of things do you do to remember the Passover? Comment please!
Shalom!

HalleluYAH!!
For your information: The VS isn't to put one against the other. It is to put a separation between them...
