I just had this thought and had to start writing about it. It is interesting that people that want to continue to use the Greek name seek a teaching of "done away law". Yahshua said "if you love me keep my commandments" John 14:15. How we can reconcile these two thoughts of a Hebrew and Greek patterns of thought that are leading us to separation and hundreds of years of false teachings. Separation from the teachings of the beginnings. YHVH wanted us to understand the end from the beginning of Genesis and the Torah. The more we study the more we find, "Seek and you shall find". A wealth of treasure of what YHVH meant to truly sustain us, His word. We should not live from bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of Elohim. If Jesus (a mistranslation of a name) or like Brad Scott says a phonetic approximation of the Greek speech is leading us away of the Scriptures that made Him alive we can say that Yahshua did not teach the same as Jesus. Yahshua taught that He was the Living Torah (the only Scriptures of the day) How then He can deny Himself to throw away the very Word that made Him. A mystery to the followers of Jesus the Christ and a living truth, a jewel to the followers of Yahshua HaMashiach. After knowing Christ as Savior it may sound like an argument of figure of speech in language but the fruit of those that trust and walk like Him called followers, students, believers of them is totally different.
The word say that by our fruit we may be known. If the fruit is Lawless then what is the branch of? If the whole point is to Love the Father, YHVH with all our hearts, mind and soul ; and our neighbor like ourselves thus keeping the whole commandments then how lawlessness show that we love our Father in heaven and His Holy Name can be written in our foreheads. We ask for wisdom and we know that wisdom comes from Torah and when we receive it we turn away and miss the mark if we follow a lawless gospel.
Shalom!
