We had already seen how a lie from the enemy has taken the truth and deceive our children to give their youth to rebelion, disobedience, fun, unproductive leasure and wordly lifestyle. Now we see how another young man of YHWH has been appointed a Prophet unto YHWH to call the world to repentance. Today we are all called to preach Good News and for people to repent and Teshuvah( Turn back to YHWH) and we see that our Youth are not exempt from it as we studied the words from Shaul to Timothy telling him "let no man dispise your youth and be an example of believers". We see that a young man can be example of believers just as Jeremiah had to take a role that not many adults would take because of fear.
Jeremiah 1: 4-8 Now the word of YHWH came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I did set you apart - I appointed you a prophet to the nations" And I said " Ah, Master YHWH! See, I do not know how to speak, for I am a youth" And YHWH said to me, " Do not say, 'I am youth,' but go to all to whom I send you, and speak whatever I command you. " Do not fear their faces, for I am with you to deliver you," declares YHWH.
I have been stopped from preaching the Word of YHWH because I was young in the faith but my son had the oportunity to present the Torah Portion to the whole assembly at Sukkot and without anyone asking him he adreesed the youth telling them to Obey their parents becuase they know better than you. I encourage my children to be like Jeremiah to say what YHWH says not what their friends want to hear. Do not say, 'I am Youth', this was very straight directly from YHWH. Should we tell the same words to our young men? My son you are either a boy or a man but YHWH says "do not say, 'I am youth'". Since our boys left their children ministry in the church they graduated to their seat by us as parents. They had more scripture memorized than most adults in the whole church. We mantained the encouragment to memorize scripture that now it is easier for them to continue their learning. What a blessing to have children that can be better than us. As parents we should encourage them to speak the word of YHWH and explore their gifts.
One day as we visited one family and there were a group of children in the living room I asked as I tried to find a spot with my crutches, Who is going to pray for my foot?, the second youngest one layed hands on my foot and prayed while all the other even teens shy away. I hope we do not become obstacles for our children and young men by telling them that they are too young to serve YHWH. Before I ever made a desition to walk in faith and by faith my youngest one asked if he could be a missionary to Madagascar. Let the children come to Me, said Yahshua, for theirs is the Kingdom.
Please look at previous posts and tell your children what Shaul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12 Let no one look down on your youth; but be an example of the believers, in word, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in belief, in cleanliness.
These are the requirements for a set apart youth. If they can live as an example of believers as a reflection of their spiritual fathers and Mashiach then they will glorify YHWH in all these areas above.
Ask your child, Do you love YHWH? Then keep His commandments. Honor your father and mother.
Shalom!
